Trish Langdon (BCom, BSW, Grad Dip Public Health)

Executive Director

trish langdon

I was born, educated and raised in WA. After completing a degree in Commerce, I worked in the retail sector. I then undertook a Social Work degree and subsequently worked in disability services, hospital social work services and child protection. I became a volunteer at the WA AIDS Council in 1989 working in support services. I then decided to live in Sydney in the early 1990s where I worked at the Paediatric AIDS Unit at the then Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital (now the Sydney Children’s Hospital). I returned to WA in 1993 and became re-involved with the WA AIDS Council on the Board of Management. I was the Chairperson from 1996 to 2000 and was subsequently appointed as the Executive Director.

I am the Treasurer of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO), a member of the Department for Child Protection Case Review Board, WA DNA Bank Management Committee and the Centennial Trust for Women at UWA.

kellymarlow

I have worked as Client Services Officer for a number of years. I began with WAAC whilst studying for a Diploma in Professional Counselling, majoring in Abuse and Abuse Trauma by  volunteering on AIDSline and Needle and Syringe Exchange before becoming a member of staff.

I have a strong background in Community Services, both in Counselling, support and Welfare work. I was a support worker in a womens refuge for a number of years and am currently a counsellor for the Salvation Army.

I took over as Living Well Co-ordinator, a program that provides complimentary therapies to people living with HIV/AIDS, helping them to improve their general wellbeing and quality of life.

I enjoy the work I do and feel privileged to work at WAAC with many wonderful people.

Jordan Burnham

Fundraising & Events Coordinator

Jordan BurnhamThis is my first venture into the industry of Events Coordinating, and I feel honoured to be able to do so with such an amazing and supportive group of people. I have recognised qualifications in Events Coordination and am all about making money; so I look forward to exploring the various ways of fundraising to benefit WAAC.

I am a people person, and love interacting with people on all levels. I hate that 'labels' are so easily thrown around in todays society and believe that We as individuals need to be the change we want to see in the world.
