Reconciliation Action Plan Launch


WAAC invited key stakeholders to its offices to celebrate the launch of its Reconciliation Action Plan. The WA AIDS Council have committed to developing a Reconciliation Action Plan as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples represent a priority population in strategies to achieve our mission and have a strong commitment to improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia.

SiREN Symposium 2014

Major Breakthrough in HIV Treatment Heralded

TabletsThe WA AIDS Coucil has welcomed news the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee will lift restrictions on qualification for life saving antiretroviral therapies.

The change allows all people diagnosed with HIV to access treatment as soon as possible - critical in helping to curb further infections.

M Clinic - We have moved!

The M ClinicThe M Clinic – a sexual health clinic for men who have sex with men seeking testing for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and  HIV– opened its doors in July 2010. This unique peer based service has experienced such rapid growth that it has recently moved to meet the clients’ needs.

World AIDS Day Awards 2011

Red RibbonThe annual World AIDS Day awards were announced at this year's World AIDS Day celebration and reflection held at the AIDS memorial.

The WA AIDS Council aknowledged the commitment of individuals and organisations which have supported our cause in 2011.
