Sauna Sexual Health Service

Located within Perth Steam Works & Beaufort 565 this service provides sexual health education and confidential and anonymous testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses (BBVs) such as HIV.

The clinic is open on Mondays fortnightly 3-5pm & 7-9pm, alternating between the two saunas. Call 9482 0000 to find out dates and locations.

As this is an anonymous service you do NOT have to give your real name however we do request your true date of birth. Consultations with the Doctor occur on a first come first served basis and all clients who want blood tests must meet with the peer educator before seeing the Doctor.

A full sexual health check-up can take up to 25 minutes. You can have blood tests for; HIV, Hepatitis A, B & C and Syphilis. Tests for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea may require a urine sample, throat and anal swabs depending on your sexual activity. Please do not urinate for 2 hours prior to attending the clinic.

WAAC HIV/STI Testing Clinic

In addition to the sauna clinics WAAC also provides a testing service through it’s Murray Street office Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.Tests are free and confidential, full names, date of birth and Medicare must be provided for testing at WAAC. Free, confidential, non-judgemental medicare based clinic open Saturday mornings- 9.00am to 12.30pm.
Tests include HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis, Gonorrhoea & Chlamydia
