“Us Mob & HIV” is a new booklet for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people produced by the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO). It aims to increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s health literacy in relation to HIV and its impacts, HIV testing, being HIV positive and HIV treatments.

WAAC is offering waiting room posters for a limited time at a  subsidised price. These posters provide culturally sensitive and effective encouragement for your Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients to ask for tests for STIs and BBVs.

Talking HIV

Screen Shot 2014-07-08 at 7.34.21 pmTalking HIV is a public speaking program by the WA AIDS Council. There are a number of talks available for schools, universities, TAFEs and youth centres. 

The presentations aim to dispel myths about living with HIV, encourage participants to reflect on their relationship needs and provide useful sexual health and healthy relationship skills. The presentations are engaging, interactive and age-appropriate while providing the latest information about HIV, STIs and prevention.

Rapid Testing in WA!
